Nick Vargas from the Alzheimer’s Association presented St. Francis Senior Ministries with the award for #1 Corporate Team for fundraising for the 2014 Walk to End Alzheimer’s.  The St. Francis Senior Ministries team raised over $3,000 for the cause!  Nick presented the award to team captain, Kellie Hartsel.

Friedman Village at St. Francis Assisted Living is accepting applications for a LPN.  The position is 4 hours a day, 5 days a week with on-call responsibility and possible occasional weekends.

Annette Krintzline Named Admissions Coordinator

St. Francis Senior Ministries is pleased to announce Annette Krintzline, LPN as the new admissions coordinator.  Krintzline is taking over for Jean Ovemier who retired after 35 years of service to St. Francis Home.  She has been employed at St. Francis Home since March of 1997 and has recently been a charge nurse on 2 West.  Krintzline attended the BG Area School of Practical Nursing.  She lives in Tiffin and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren.  To contact Krintzline, please call St. Francis Home at (419) 447-2723.



St. Francis adds Clinical Liaison

St. Francis Senior Ministries has added the services of a clinical liaison to meet the needs of patients in the community and to be a personal point of contact for medical professionals.  Mary Traxler recently joined St. Francis Senior Ministries in the capacity of RN Clinical Liaison.

A graduate of Owens Community College with an Associate’s in Applied Science, Traxler has more than thirty years’ experience working at area health care facilities., in various capacities. In her spare time, Mary enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Alzheimer’s Association Memory Day 2015

Elizabeth Fox, Cathy Buskirk, Leanne Smith and Kellie Hartsel attended Memory Day at the Statehouse in Columbus on April 15th.  It was a day of advocacy for caregivers and families touched by Alzheimer’s disease.  They were able to meet with Senator Dave Burke and Representative Bill Reineke.

STNA Classes

St. Francis Home, Inc. is an Ohio approved facility-based TCEP (training and competency program).  Successful completion of the program and State of Ohio nurse aide testing will provide you the status of STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide).

Instructional classes, clinical training and Ohio state testing are all performed on-site at St. Francis Home, Inc.

Educational Seminars

St. Francis Senior Ministries hosts several educational seminars throughout the year.  They are presented on various topics, by various presenters and held at different facilities throughout campus.  Previous topics have included:  Medicare, AARP, wellness, travel tips, diabetic education and financial planning.
